Helpful reports
- Describe what happened: who the caller said they were, what they wanted and whether it was a call or a text.
- Mention any warning signs, such as requests for codes, payments, gift cards or remote access.
- Say so if the caller was genuine. Positive reports help people avoid missing important calls.
- Stick to your own experience with the number.
What we remove
- Personal information, including names, addresses, account numbers or the phone numbers of private individuals.
- Threats, harassment, hate speech or abusive language.
- Claims you can't support, such as accusing a named person of a crime.
- Advertising, links to other websites or unrelated content.
- Duplicate reports or attempts to manipulate a number's rating.
Choosing a rating
- Negative: scams, harassment, aggressive sales calls or anything you'd warn others about.
- Neutral: legitimate but unwanted calls, such as surveys, or calls you couldn't identify.
- Positive: genuine calls from businesses, services or people you were happy to hear from.
